Induction Hardening
Induction hardening is our specialty.
This process involves placement of a metal piece in close proximity to an electromagnetic energy field. This flux field can be controlled to heat select areas of steel parts as per customer specifications. We harden parts of various shapes and size. The two methods used in induction heating are single shot and scanning. Single shot heating (or static) heating means that entire area of interest is heated in a timed cycle. Scanning involves moving the part through the flux field in a controlled direction and speed that allows heating of large surface areas that would not be possible with single shot heating.
